Tato kdysi skvělá lyžařská hora je v troskách a v chaosu! Manažer Ken Marlatt a majitelé chtějí maximální zisk a zároveň co nejmenší množství služeb!

Není tu místo, kde by si děti mohly hrát, žádný další dětský výběh, žádná sleva.

Tohle místo se musí zavřít.

Ski apache has the most boarded up closed buildings slope side 1) burger stand chair 1, 2(top of chair 6 3) bottom of chair 8. 4) base area. largest out house of any ski area ( over 10 stalls in one building) you can imagine how that smells
At Christmas, no ski school with trained instructors, fewest employee's of any ski area, worst mantiance lifts and snow preparation ( grooming). Ski apache is grossly over priced. I'm surprised they don't charge for the mountain Air

Ski Apache was a blast yesterday even though the mountain got shut down, we had the time of our life's. Talked with Ken Marlatt the Director of operations and he asked if my family and I were having a great time and told him Yes because we were there to have a wonderful time but a lot of people were very disappointed that the mountain got shut down and I told him that I completely understood because it was sketchy up towards the top and and conditions were just unsafe and I completely understand that Safety of the people on the mountain comes first. So please if you were there on the 19th of Feb. Please understand they were only looking after the safety of people. We have to support our local Mountain and Ski Apache needs your understanding and support! Please come back to SKI APACHE and have the time of your Life. Jason

Went today with a friend a we both live locally. A little before noon Ski Apache Personnel announced the mountain was closing and to please leave. After leaving found out they kept mountain open all day. The did this on a day where the tickets were at highest price of year. What a scam. Horrible to do not just to locals but to tourists who are our single biggest revenue source for our community. They offered no type of even partial refunds and then continued to sell tickets and operate in a manipulate manner.

My family and I decided to try ski Apache this year. We typically travel to Colorado. There was a bunny lift and a green “hill” lift open. The resort was not at all prepared for the amount of people visiting the week after Christmas. We got in line at 11am for rentals. After spending two hours in line (they wouldn’t allow half day priced tickets), we were able to ski down a total of 5x due to the long line at the only green lift. Some people were literally walking up the hill and skiing back down because it was faster than waiting in the lift line. For what we paid for skis and lift tickets for our family- that equates to $150 per ski down. Keep in mind the ride down took less than 2 mins. 10/10 do not recommend!

Not worth time, effort or resources. Go north.

I grew up in New Mexico and used to go skiing with my friends and church youth group at "Sierra Blanca" when it was run by commercial interests and not the Mescalero Apache tribe. It was never Colorado-class skiing but it was a nice place to ski and was pretty close to home.
Now that the tribe has taken over management it is clear what the end-game of pure socialism is.
- Lifts never open on time and nobody cares.
- Most of the time the half or more of the mountain is closed and nobody cares.
- When they should be making snow, they don't and nobody cares.
- The staff have a devil-may-care attitude, because their life doesn't change whether you have a good time or not.
Vote with your dollars. Drive a little further North and go to Taos or Angel Fire, l have a much better experience and still save money compared to Colorado skiing. Of the New Mexico resorts Angel Fire is my favorite but Taos is great too. If you're an advanced skier then Taos is for you. For beginners, intermediates, and family outings I think you'll prefer Angel Fire.
Ski Apache is over and it's a shame because I love Ruidoso and have lots of fond teenage memories of Sierra Blanca.
